TERM
Pseudorandom generators

Code (cryptography)
  • A portion of the "[[Zimmermann Telegram]]" as decrypted by [[British Naval Intelligence]] codebreakers. The word ''Arizona'' was not in the German codebook and had therefore to be split into phonetic syllables.
METHOD USED TO ENCRYPT A MESSAGE
Codetext; Idiot code; One-part code; Two-part code; Cryptography code
In cryptology, a code is a method used to encrypt a message that operates at the level of meaning; that is, words or phrases are converted into something else. A code might transform "change" into "CVGDK" or "cocktail lounge".
Auth-Code
SPECIAL PASSWORD TO ALLOW DOMAIN NAME TRANSFERS
EPP code; Unique Domain Authentication Identifier; UDAI; EPP transfer code; Transfer secret; EPP codes; Epp code; Epp codes; EPP/auth code; Auth/EPP code; Transfer key; Auth code; Auth-Info Code; Auth-info code
An Auth-Code, also known as an EPP code, authorization code, transfer code, or Auth-Info Code, is a generated passcode required to transfer an Internet domain name between domain registrars; the code is intended to indicate that the domain name owner has authorized the transfer.
Unique Domain Authentication Identifier
SPECIAL PASSWORD TO ALLOW DOMAIN NAME TRANSFERS
EPP code; Unique Domain Authentication Identifier; UDAI; EPP transfer code; Transfer secret; EPP codes; Epp code; Epp codes; EPP/auth code; Auth/EPP code; Transfer key; Auth code; Auth-Info Code; Auth-info code
The Unique Domain Authentication Identifier (UDAI) is a case-sensitive, eight-character-long "password" which is a randomly generated unique identifier for every Internet NZ domain name (code ".nz").

Pseudorandom generator

In theoretical computer science and cryptography, a pseudorandom generator (PRG) for a class of statistical tests is a deterministic procedure that maps a random seed to a longer pseudorandom string such that no statistical test in the class can distinguish between the output of the generator and the uniform distribution. The random seed itself is typically a short binary string drawn from the uniform distribution.

Many different classes of statistical tests have been considered in the literature, among them the class of all Boolean circuits of a given size. It is not known whether good pseudorandom generators for this class exist, but it is known that their existence is in a certain sense equivalent to (unproven) circuit lower bounds in computational complexity theory. Hence the construction of pseudorandom generators for the class of Boolean circuits of a given size rests on currently unproven hardness assumptions.
