Examples of use of BTB
1. A last gasp appeal for a second test for bovine tuberculosis (bTB) was rejected by the Welsh Assembly Government yesterday.
2. They claim one in 1000 skin tests for bTB give a false positive result, meaning there is a chance that Shambo is disease free.
3. While Defra refuses to comment on the issue until the consultation period is finished, the fact is that the government is facing an annual increase of 18% in the overall cost of dealing with BTB.
4. They see it as a trade–off." While there is no disputing that there is some link between badgers and cattle in the spread of BTB, the evidence would suggest that this is not the main cause.
5. The farming unions are saying that they will not cooperate with measures such as the pre–movement testing of cattle, which everyone recognises is necessary to control BTB, unless the government gives them badger culling.
