Examples of use of cell
1. They fused a human skin cell with an embryonic stem cell to create a new hybrid cell with stem cell properties, including the ability to differentiate into germ line cells (ova and sperm) and other cell types.
2. Somatic cell nuclear transfer involves taking the nucleus from a non–reproductive cell and inserting it into an egg cell.
3. Scientists take a cell from the animal to be duplicated –– typically a skin cell – and fuse it to an egg cell whose own DNA has been removed.
4. The specific issue is a stem cell technology called somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT). Stem cells can become any type of cell in the human body.
5. While some are clamoring for cell phone restraint, cell phone companies are lobbying the Federal Aviation Administration to permit cell phones on commercial airline flights.
