1. Quaoar was half the size of Pluto, and bigger than any asteroid – a possible tenth planet.
2. We don‘t have a great measurement of Sedna‘s size yet, but we know its bigger than Quaoar, probably about three–quarters the size of Pluto.
3. Along with Xena, the nickname for an object known officially as 2003 UB313, bodies called Sedna and Quaoar (pronounced kwa–whar) have been identified at the edge of the solar system.
4. Our Moon (which no one calls a planet) has far more in common with Venus or Mercury (which everyone agrees are planets) than it does with Neptune or Uranus (ditto); which have nothing in common with Xena or Quaoar.
5. The spacecraft will not, however, be able to visit any of the three large Kuiper Belt objects that have recently been discovered and claimed by some observers as planets Quaoar, Sedna and Xena.
