Qué (quién) es Microcom Networking Protocol - definición

ERROR-CORRECTING PROTOCOLS
MNP5; Microcom Protocol; MNP10

Microcom Networking Protocol
(MNP) One of the most common modem protocols with compression. Also the name of a product. [Details? On-line spec?] (1995-01-31)
Microcom Networking Protocol
The Microcom Networking Protocols, almost always shortened to MNP, is a family of error-correcting protocols commonly used on early high-speed (2400 bit/s and higher) modems. Originally developed for use on Microcom's own family of modems, the protocol was later openly licensed and used by most of the modem industry, notably the "big three", Telebit, USRobotics and Hayes.
Delay-tolerant networking
APPROACH TO ISSUES IN HETEROGENEOUS COMPUTER NETWORKS THAT MAY LACK CONTINUOUS CONNECTIVITY
Delay tolerant networking; Disruption Tolerant Networking; Disruption-Tolerant Networking; Delay Tolerant Networking; Delay-tolerant network; Delay tolerant network; Disruption-tolerant networking; "bundle protocol"; Bundle protocol
Delay-tolerant networking (DTN) is an approach to computer network architecture that seeks to address the technical issues in heterogeneous networks that may lack continuous network connectivity. Examples of such networks are those operating in mobile or extreme terrestrial environments, or planned networks in space.
