Serre spectral sequence
SPECTRAL SEQUENCE RELATING THE SINGULAR COHOMOLOGY OF THE TOTAL SPACE OF A SERRE FIBRATION IN TERMS OF THE COHOMOLOGIES OF THE BASE SPACE AND THE FIBER
Leray-Serre spectral sequence; Leray–Serre spectral sequence; Spectral sequence for the covering
In mathematics, the Serre spectral sequence (sometimes Leray–Serre spectral sequence to acknowledge earlier work of Jean Leray in the Leray spectral sequence) is an important tool in algebraic topology. It expresses, in the language of homological algebra, the singular (co)homology of the total space X of a (Serre) fibration in terms of the (co)homology of the base space B and the fiber F.
Bass–Serre theory
PART OF THE MATHEMATICAL SUBJECT OF GROUP THEORY
Bass-Serre theory; Bass-Serre covering tree; Buss-Serre covering tree; Bass–Serre; Bass-Serre; Bass–Serre covering tree
Bass–Serre theory is a part of the mathematical subject of group theory that deals with analyzing the algebraic structure of groups acting by automorphisms on simplicial trees. The theory relates group actions on trees with decomposing groups as iterated applications of the operations of free product with amalgamation and HNN extension, via the notion of the fundamental group of a graph of groups.
Serre duality
DUALITY FOR HOLOMORPHIC VECTOR BUNDLES ON A COMPACT COMPLEX MANIFOLD INDUCED BY A DUALIZING SHEAF
Serre's duality theorem; Serre duality theorem
In algebraic geometry, a branch of mathematics, Serre duality is a duality for the coherent sheaf cohomology of algebraic varieties, proved by Jean-Pierre Serre. The basic version applies to vector bundles on a smooth projective variety, but Alexander Grothendieck found wide generalizations, for example to singular varieties.

Lac de Serre-Ponçon

Lake Serre-Ponçon (French: Lac de Serre-Ponçon, French pronunciation: [lak də sɛʁ pɔ̃sɔ̃]; Vivaro-Alpine: Lac de Sèrra Ponçon) is a reservoir in the departments of Hautes-Alpes and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, in southeast France, one of the largest in Western Europe. The lake gathers the waters of the Durance and the Ubaye rivers, flowing down through the Hautes-Alpes and the Alpes du Sud to the Rhône. The waters are dammed by the Barrage de Serre-Ponçon, a 123-metre (404 ft) high earth core dam.

As well as water control, sixteen hydroelectric plants use the water (with additional water control supporting), and the lake provides irrigation to 1,500 square kilometres (580 sq mi) of land.
