Cosa (chi) è isolation$41063$ - definizione

PRINCIPLE OF ISOLATING FUNCTIONAL SECTIONS OF ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS TO PREVENT CURRENT
Galvanic Isolation; Electrical isolation; Power isolation

Isolation (database systems)
PROPERTY OF A DATABASE SYSTEM THAT DETERMINES HOW TRANSACTION INTEGRITY IS VISIBLE TO OTHER USERS AND SYSTEMS
Isolation (database management); Transaction isolation level; Isolation (data management); Isolation Level; Transaction isolation; Isolation level; Isolation (computer science); Isolation (DBMS); Phantom read
In database systems, isolation determines how transaction integrity is visible to other users and systems.
Isolation (health care)
  • The [[Aeromedical Biological Containment System]] (ABCS) is an air-transportable ''high isolation'' module for movement of highly contagious patients.
  • COVID-19 pandemic]].
  • The new Ebola isolation ward in Lagos, Nigeria provides more space and better treatment.
  • Isolation wards may need to be hastily improvised during epidemics such as in this image of [[WHO]] workers in [[Lagos, Nigeria]] managing Ebola patients in 2014.
MEASURES TAKEN IN CARE UNITS TO PREVENT CONTAGIOUS DISEASES FROM BEING SPREAD AMONG PATIENTS, HEALTH CARE WORKERS, AND VISITORS
Reverse quarantine; Isolation period; Patient isolation; Isolation facility; Disease Isolation; Self-isolation; Home isolation; Self isolation; Self-isolating; Self-isolate; Self-isolated; Self-quarantined; Quarantine fatigue; Medical isolation; Patient isolators; Patient isolator
In health care facilities, isolation represents one of several measures that can be taken to implement in infection control: the prevention of communicable diseases from being transmitted from a patient to other patients, health care workers, and visitors, or from outsiders to a particular patient (reverse isolation). Various forms of isolation exist, in some of which contact procedures are modified, and others in which the patient is kept away from all other people.
Topographic isolation
TERM IN GEOGRAPHY: MINIMUM GREAT-CIRCLE DISTANCE TO A POINT OF EQUAL ELEVATION, REPRESENTING A RADIUS OF DOMINANCE IN WHICH THE PEAK IS THE HIGHEST POINT
Topographically isolated; Dominance (geography); Isolation (geography); Isolation (topography); List of peaks by isolation; Ultra isolated peak; Radius of dominance
The topographic isolation of a summit is the minimum distance to a point of equal elevation, representing a radius of dominance in which the peak is the highest point. It can be calculated for small hills and islands as well as for major mountain peaks and can even be calculated for submarine summits.

Galvanic isolation

Galvanic isolation is a principle of isolating functional sections of electrical systems to prevent current flow; no direct conduction path is permitted. Energy or information can still be exchanged between the sections by other means, such as capacitive, inductive, radiative, optical, acoustic or mechanical.

Galvanic isolation is used where two or more electric circuits must communicate, but their grounds may be at different potentials. It is an effective method of breaking ground loops by preventing unwanted current from flowing between two units sharing a ground conductor. Galvanic isolation is also used for safety, preventing accidental electric shocks.
