Под личностью у Б. фигурирует не реальный человек, а некая духовная монада, или душа, которая, оставаясь самотождественной, раскрывается в непосредственном опыте отдельной человеческой личности. Объективный мир, его формы и качества создаются в опыте личности и являются вторичными по отношению к ней ("Персонализм", 1908).
